The University of Lethbridge is 50

A few days ago, The University of Lethbridge turned 50 years old and of course, The Lethbridge Herald ran an article on it. So, my friend David Rossiter, who was a photographer for The Herald for years, posted the article on his timeline. When I read it, I was surprised to see that Billy Nichol and The Bogus Boogie Band played for the opening ceremonies. I was surprised for two reasons, one because, damn, it was 50 years ago and two, it was posted as this was in 1972. Now I could have sworn I was in the States in 1972. I will have to dig back on this. It is probably my mistake 🙂

At any rate, I post it here as a matter of interest. Thanks David!

Flash From the Past – The Magnets

Here is a promo shot from, well let’s see, when was this Dan? 1984 or 85 I think. Anyway, my old and dear friend, Dan Dubé and I started a duo using backing tracks and Dan on keys and myself on guitar. Both singing. Was a good duo and we managed to play quite a bit around the lower mainland of Vancouver and of course, on the island. Bit of a throwback …. Wednesday.

Pay Attention!

Ahem, well, that perhaps was a bit strong. Soonish, I hope, I will begin adding random posts about whatever strikes me …. be it music, politics (not too much of this ), generally commentary … whatever. Let’s have a discussion. So, to start this off, I will post a link here to West Coast Bluesman, Mark Crissinger. I do not know Mark but, he is good and my buddy Dan Dubé played on the album.
